I'm climbing a spiral staircase and not hoping to turn again...

So softly now, a koel calls The land embraces with every blade of grass Each breath has the earth Every sigh its soul Far, far remov’d are the spirits around Pray, do not ask;no, do not speak What is beyond is not what I need Find me just one place, e’en in a second of thought Just one tree to sit beneath Where sets the sun, and lies God’s world And softly, softly, the koel calls… So here I am, back in the land of my birth…the city of lights, of dug-up roads, of yellow number plates and mobile snatchers. And I’m having the time of my life…in fact, I’m having sooo much fun I won’t describe it in case my three readers get jealous.. :P But it’s so great to sit online after a week or two and find that I’m missed by the people back here…no matter where they live. Oh yeah, and the poem above was scribbled (ATY-style) in purple pencil in the back of a long-lost notebook I found a week after I came here. My nani’s house is bursting with memories-I suppose I left this poem here last year…so as I have no new poems, why not post something that was written, edited, and finally forgotten in Karachi? I‘m forgetting a lot of things I had to say now…all can remember is my A levels result-if anyone still doesn’t know, its 3 As and a B. I suppose at least one B is gonna follow me around forever; it was the same in o levels…just one A short of a perfect score. Blegh…as if I care…I’m not a perfectionist, unlike SOME people I can name-so nobody ask me why I got that B-I suck at maths and always will. But I am happy about literature, economics, and business. Oh, how that business teacher hated me…that’ll show her, though I think it’ll only add to her already-inflated ego…lolllzzz. Our sweet old economics teacher would be really happy too, and I still haven’t forgotten that he promised a dinner for his A-grade students…chij, we’ll discuss that as soon as I get back. As for the three literature teachers…uff, they’re too different-one would be surprised that the bongi larki had gotten an A in her subject…that’s all I can say. And if that wasn’t enuff abt studies-here’s another tidbit-my sis won’t take a single class with me in university. No matter how much I promise that I’ll sit far, far away from her, she still insists on having completely different subjects, all under the excuse that I’ll get better grades than her. How does she know that? She surpassed me in every subject until o levels after all…I swear, this uni has squeezed every drop of self-esteem from my elder sis… Well, time to go…enuff chit chat-my cousins are screaming for my blood…i miss u all too, even those who don't read my blog...luv u!

My favourite-est blogger is missing...did anyone find her? She is this cute teenager who was last seen going towards Karachi. If you're reading this ATY, please come back...your soulmate has stopped eating ever since you left. Back in India, we've been having prayer meetings for your safety. We will convince your sister not to headbutt you. Saji has not stopped crying ever since that fateful day you walked out on all of us. Please come back. Blogosphere is not the same without you. Missing you.
