Yargh

Well, things are still at a head here…I din’t go to school today…when I woke up at 6:30 a.m I was aching all over and it felt like I had been asleep for about 4 mins instead of 4 whole hours…so I decided to stop being so over-efficient (TT to chij and niqabi), and have a real holiday to study my ass off. The weekend was completely unproductive, what with my cousin’s staying over, my dad’s birthday, so I felt kinda guilty…anyway, if any of this makes sense…I missed school because I was over-burdened with study. Neways, I’m even more tired than I was this morning. Both my sister and the maid HAD to choose this day to get temperatures…so the maid left, my mom left to get my other sister from her university, and I was left with a moaning, groaning 10 year old who was bored to death and had a 100 temperature. On top of that, there was this crummy assignment I had to do…the play we’re doing in literature rite now has 3 characters, no storyline, no plot, no conflict whatsoever…and the most frequent word in those 90-somehting pages is ‘Pause’. After every dialogue there’s a pause…questions are not answered, one of the characters is insane….the action involves one character chasing another with a vacuum cleaner, then asking how he is….and nothing happens! This is called, in literary terms, the ‘theatre of absurd’ and is supposedly very difficult to write. Another example of such a play is ‘Waiting for Godot’…it’s very funny if u read it but its simple, pure, unadulterated ABSURDITY….here’s what happens in the end: VLADIMIR: Well? Shall we go? ESTRAGON: Yes, let's go. They do not move. Curtain. And this is the end of the first act and the second act of this two-act play. Sometimes these two try to hang themselves, but then realize they don’t have any rope, sometimes they eat carrots, and all they’re doing is waiting for Godot, and Godot never comes. It’s a sad, sad world.
